Creative Casting Retreat

Additional Information

Imagine spending several days nestled in the mountains among the beautiful scenery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Nearby is Pigeon Forge, a wonderful tourist community. Spend time in the studio each day with classes directed by metalsmiths Debora Mauser and Eva Sherman learning creative ways to cast scrap silver. We will experiment with water, straw, sand, and salt casting, and then use the cast pieces as building modules to create several unique pieces of jewelry. Students will have the opportunity for unlimited exploration while refining metalsmithing skills.
